MetaProducts LightPad is a program designed for editing HTML, CSS, JavaScript, VB Script, PHP and Perl files. It does this by highlighting the syntax of the files. It also has an HTML validation tool, which makes the creating of new HTML documents easy and error free. You can view documents using the internal and external browser. You will be able to quickly insert more often used HTML syntax and tags. Quick insert of often-used JavaScript, PHP and Perl functions is also possible.

MetaProducts LightPad also performs special text routines such as Convert Case and Strip HTML. It can easily be integrated with Internet Explorer for viewing HTML source for version 5.0 and above. LightPad supports HTML files up to 4 MB in size. It also has multi-level undo, by which you can remove editing changes on multiple levels. You are able to save a file automatically while previewing it. It also supports preview by many browsers. You can also customize colors and commands in the application. VBS and SQL file types can be saved too. What I liked most about LightPad was its easy to use user interface. The interface makes editing and viewing HTML pages easy and fast. The application size is small hence loading is fast.
Menus and toolbars are customizable.
